If you love animals and enjoy the 16th century join us at Renfeast  to help  wonderful animals get adopted and raise funds for our spay and neuter program

Each weekend from April 13 through June 2, 2019, you can step inside the gates of Newcastle and find yourself transported back to 16th-century England! The  32-acre village is filled with over 150 artisan craft shoppes, 10 stages of endless entertainment, wonderful pubs and taverns, plus food galore! You’ll laugh out loud at the antics of our costumed characters, try your skill at carnival games, and enjoy human-powered rides for kids of all ages. Did we mention food? Giant roasted turkey legs, fish and chips, hearty ales, mead and more - a feast fit for Royalty! It's a full day of fun, food and entertainment for the whole family.

Volunteer /Foster

Volunteers are a critical component for Georgia Heartland Humane Society to find Forever Homes for the cats and dogs in our care .Our entire group is volunteers who devote their time , skills, knowledge and energy to rescuing and assisting animals in need .

We request volunteers ;

•Volunteer for 6 hours per month

•Wear the Georgia Heartland Humane Society t-shirt while volunteering

•Be able to receive emails as main communication method with GHHS

•Volunteer must not have any history of animal abuse

• Volunteers must be at least 18 years old

We are also recruiting volunteers with a specific skill - be it graphic art, photography, videography, marketing, business, etc. If you have a skill or talent you would like to lend to Georgia Heartland Humane Society please contact us , with a description of your expertise and your general availability.


Fostering is a great way for families to volunteer together, or for people who love pets but are unable to bring one into their home permanently.Our foster volunteers are a group of very caring people who do everything from bottle feeding orphaned babies around the clock, to socializing little ones to ensure that they look forward to human and animal interaction. The foster volunteers provide care, safety and love.

Georgia Heartland Provides:

•All necessary medication and medical care

•Food and litter

•Education on how to care for your foster animal

The Foster Family Provides:

•A safe and nurturing environment for your foster animal

•Socialization for animals

•A chance for sick animals to recover
